What is the difference between the CMJ New Music Report and CMJ New Music Monthly?
The CMJ New Music Report is a weekly music industry trade magazine catering to the needs of record label personnel, radio programmers, promoters and other music industry professionals. In addition to reviews and extensive music news, the CMJ New Music Report features charts based on comprehensive listings of radio station airplay from hundreds of college, non-commercial and commercial stations in North America. CMJ New Music Report is not available on newsstands. The CMJ New Music Monthly is a monthly consumer magazine focusing on the best in new music, featuring reviews, interviews and pop culture coverage. - back
How can I get my CD reviewed and do you review unsigned bands?
With few exceptions, CMJ New Music Report covers all types of music from all types of artists. Both signed and unsigned artists are encouraged to submit their releases to:

Can I write for CMJ New Music Report or are internships available?
CMJ New Music Report currently does not accept freelance submissions for writing, however you are free to submit a resume for future consideration. Internships are welcome at CMJ and duties and compensation vary. For more info email Mike Boyle, Editor In Chief, at mikeb@cmj.com. - back

Why can't I hear your soundclips?
First, you'll need a sound card and you'll need to make sure your speakers are on. You'll also need the latest version of Real Networks' RealPlayer, which is free to download and works on most computers. - back
